This Breckenridge love-fest session started at the rustic A-Frame where Kelly & Greg got engaged. It was important to them to get a few photographs of the place where they spend a lot of their time and where he popped the question last spring. It was also important to them to include their new pup, Rigsby, because he’s a big part of their lives. So you could say it was unfortunate that before the photo session had even begun, we somehow locked ourselves OUT of the cabin and locked poor Rigs inside.

We still managed to have a fabulously fun time exploring the streets of Breckenridge. They are both hilarious – humor and laughter are clearly a big part of who they are together. And their dry sarcasm is also noteworthy, since it is my favorite form of expression. Kelly & Greg were super easy-going and patient as I dragged them up the side of a mountain to my super-secret-awesome spot that boasts snow-capped mountains, a glistening lake, and a field of yellow flowers, while yelling, “Okay! Just one more! We’re almost done! BUT LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL THIS IS!!! Okay! Just one more!” Lucky for them, the sun finally set and I decided I could wait until their wedding day to take more pictures.

Speaking of their wedding, I cannot WAIT to be the photographer of their June nuptials at Della Terra Mountain Chateau.

I love being a wedding photographer, and I REALLY love doing engagement photos – it’s a chance to get to know my couples and spend an evening with JUST them, minus the time constraints and craziness and stress of the wedding day.
