Wedding at Briarwood Inn

I’ve known Jesse since high school. He was in the class ahead of mine and is an incredible artist. Genevieve is also a brilliant, creative mind, and they are both savvy business folk. Yes, I said folk, despite the fact that they live in NYC. When they asked me to photograph their wedding, I was beyond honored (with a heap of excited and maybe a small sliver of nervous) because these are two people I adore and whom I admire as artists.

Their wedding day at The Briarwood Inn in Golden, Colorado could not have more perfectly represented them as people: bright, fun, intimate, thoughtful, and full of laughter and joy. Gen’s dress was stunning – made even more so once she put it on. And Jesse and his groomsmen had an energy and humor that only exists between friends with a solid bond.

My favorite part? It’s so hard to pick. Genevieve’s wonderfully warm friends, Jesse’s brother’s tearful speech, the groom’s first dance with his mom, seeing old high school friends who were there as guests… or selfishly, maybe my favorite part was that I got to be there for it all.
