This wedding makes me want to ramble and gush, and my first draft of this post was entirely too long (yes, this is the edited version). But how do you cut words and quickly summarize WHEN YOU HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY? Bah! I want to write an essay about Jessica and Brady’s wedding…
And I’m guessing Jessica wouldn’t mind reading it (and maybe even correcting my grammar mistakes). I met her when we were both teaching English for Cherry Creek Schools. I was a 10 year veteran, trying to balance my love for kids with my love for photography. She was a newbie. Fresh and energetic and just so incredibly positive.
She is bubbly and has a smile that makes you feel like she likes you, even if you just met. She laughs a lot and cares about people. And is just so darn happy. That’s who Jessica is. Through and through. Not to mention, the girl has style for days. I was constantly envious of her boots/scarf/necklace/dress.
And as luck might have it, she married a guy who is just as remarkable. Warm. Honest. Real. It was evident throughout their wedding day that their marriage was based on similar attitudes, morals, faith, and a deep and genuine love for each other.
I wish I could write more about it all. The history and bond she shared with her bridesmaids. The ease and friendship that existed between Brady and his groomsmen. The way Jessica grabbed her sister’s hand when she wanted to cry. The letters they wrote to one another that day. THE LOOK ON HIS FACE WHEN HE SAW HIS BRIDE FOR THE FIRST TIME. Their energy, enthusiasm, and excitement. The intensity and sincerity of their wedding vows. I wish I could write a book describing the way their families and friends came together to honor who they are and who they were about to become. To top it all off – the thankfulness and love they have shown to me for their wedding day photographs. Wowza.
